The Arizona Coyotes in the Phoenix Metropolitan area are a professional ice hockey team that proudly competes in the National Hockey League. They play at Mullett Arena in Tempe as part of the Central Division, Western Conference of the NHL. From 1996 to 2003, their home arena was America West Arena (now Footprint Center), while from 2003 to 2022, it shifted to Gila River Arena (Desert Diamond Area), based in downtown Phoenix.
