The Monfort brothers own the club, under the management of Bud Black, and they play their home games at Coors Fiel, located in Downtown Denver which is known for being a hitter’s paradise.
The Rockies were first established as an expansion team in 1993, playing at Mile High Stadium, before transitioning to Coors Field in 1995.
