Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Picks, HOF Prediction Week 1

Football is back. The Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers meet Thursday night in the NFL Hall of Fame preseason game. The Steelers come into this new season off a 12-4 record but sour note after losing in the wild card to the Cleveland Browns. For the Cowboys, they enter their second season under coach Mike McCarthy in hopes of having a Super Bowl contending run. Before we get into this week’s one NFL preseason prediction, it’s important to note these plays are for minimal unit plays. Save the bankroll for the games that count bettors. Now let’s get into it.

Preseason betting is solely based on who is playing and roster depth. The Dallas Cowboys enter this game with a ton of critical injuries. QB Dak Prescott, coming off a season-ending injury last season, is already dealing with a new injury this season (Strained muscle) and won’t get near the field Thursday. DeMarcus Lawrence and Amari Cooper are dealing with injuries as well. Garrett Gilbert, Ben DiNucci, and Cooper Rush will be getting the nod for the QB spot. On the defensive side, first-round pick Micah Parsons should get plenty of reps while multiple Cowboys are changing positions, such as Keanu Neal to the LB spot. It’s a brand new Cowboys defense with loads of question marks still.

Let’s take a look at the Pittsburgh team. The most significant advantage that screams in this game is the QB depth for the Steelers. QB Mason Rudolph has been a one-hit-wonder for the Steelers and knows how to get the offense rolling. After Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins is ready to use his last life in the NFL. With a strong preseason, Haskins could steal the backup role in Pittsburgh. Steelers are favored for a reason; watch Rudolph and Haskins battle it out on Thursday night.
