Established in 1937 as the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons, a semi-professional basketball team from Indiana, the Detroit Pistons are an American professional squad based out of Motor City and compete within the Eastern Conference Central Division of the NBA. After joining the Basketball Association Of America (BAA) in 1948 following NBL’s merger with BAA to become NBA, The franchise moved to Detroit city in 1957, where it has been playing its home games at Little Caesars Arena ever since.
