Established in 1946, the Philadelphia 76ers – also known as the Sixers – are among the most successful NBA franchises. As part of the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, they compete at Wells Fargo Center within South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The franchise began its journey with a different name: The Syracuse Nationals. It is now only one out of eight founding teams that have managed to remain active since the National Basketball Association’s beginning decade!
