The Pittsburgh Penguins, commonly known as the Pens, are a professional ice hockey team competing in the NHL Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division. For ten years, their home games have been played at PPG Paints Arena (formerly named Consol Energy Center). Before then, they took to ‘the Igloo’ or Civic Arena for over four decades. Additionally, The Penguins partner with two minor league teams: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League and Wheeling Nailers from ECHL.
